Every advertisement with Hold Your Horses is thoroughly vetted after publication, and may be amended for spelling, grammar, and appropriate capitalisation of lettering (i.e., upper case to lower case in some instances).
Any advertisements with incorrect spelling and punctuation may be altered in order to improve readability and make the advertisement more legible. It is always the responsibility of the advertiser to inform Hold Your Horses if the text accompanying an advertisement needs to be amended or is no longer relevant or you
Any content, including text and images, that risks bringing the reputation of Hold Your Horses into disrepute will immediately be removed from each and every advertisement applicable. In the instance of images being removed you will be offered the opportunity to supply appropriate replacements.

If you are selling as a trader, breeder or for profit you are legally required to clearly state this when you place your advertisement. If you are unsure about this then clarify your details prior to advertisement by contacting Trading Standards. If Hold Your Horses understands that you are a trader we may ask you to confirm your status or change it as advertised without notice.
Hold Your Horses will not accept any images displaying breeding animals.
Hold Your Horses will not publish advertisements for pregnant dogs and advertisements for multiple dogs are unlikely to be accepted.
Sales of dogs and puppies via advertisement must comply with local Animal Welfare legislation. Local Authorities can be contacted for further advice on advertising the sales of dogs and puppies in your area.
Hold Your Horses will not accept advertisements for any horses or ponies either broken to ride and/or drive, or that are under the age of two years old.
Advertisements that are submitted using an incorrect form will be applied to the correct form as appropriate.
All advertisement titles are set entirely by Hold Your Horses.
All advertisements can be amended by the advertiser by logging into your account and editing your advertise by selecting my listings on the drop down bar, or emailing Hold Your Horses directly via email info@holdyourhorses.uk. Hold Your Horses do not charge for this service.
Hold Your Horses communicates primarily with advertisers via email. If an advertiser does not provide a valid email address then they will not receive a copy of the advertisement, order number, or any notification of when it goes on the website, or warnings related to online scams.
If an issue arises with any advertisement Hold Your Horses will amend it to conform to our own terms and conditions, or otherwise reject or cancel the advertisement entirely should the reputation of Hold Your Horses be under threat. Without supplying a valid email address the advertiser will not be notified of these or any others amendments but is always welcome to contact Hold Your Horses directly about the advertisement or amendment.
It is the responsibility of the advertiser to contact Hold Your Horses if any inaccuracies are evident in the advertisement.
Single item advertisements placed without a valid email address will remain live online until the item is sold, but removed from the website one month after the last contact with the advertiser of the item. However, they can also be reinstated later, with no additional charge accrued. Any multiple or business advertisements submitted without a valid email address will be deleted at the end of the term without any additional notice.
Hold Your Horses reserves the right to refuse any advertisements without reason. Any monies paid to Hold Your Horses in this instance will be fully refunded.
Refunds: Hold Your Horses does not issue any refunds for advertisements after they have been published on www.holdyourhorses.uk.
Text considered inflammatory on any advertisement or that which is implied as blackmail will instantly be removed. For example: “If not sold the animal will be sold for meat.”
Hold Your Horses reserve the right to supply information to specific bodies, including but not limited to Trading Standards and the Police, as and when requested – but will never otherwise supply personal details to third parties which are not published on the Hold Your Horses website.
Information submitted to Hold Your Horses cannot be false, designed to cause offence, fraudulent in nature, in breach of any existing copyright or go against privacy. As the advertiser, you are always responsible for that content provided, including text and photographs or images are not in breach of copyright or that you otherwise have the owner’s/author’s permission. All text, branding, logos, website addresses/URLs, watermarks, etc, are not permitted for publication and will be removed from images. If this is not possible at our end we will contact you and request that you resubmit the content without these items. Any pictures that show several images as part of a montage will be trimmed to display one clear, relevant image. Hold Your Horses do not allow posters, banners, screenshots from mobile or desktop, text, or anything else copied directly from a website, digital or print publication to be published unless the advertisement is placed by the author/owner/publisher of the material. Hold Your Horses will also not allow any images that could be deemed to cause offense or portray deceased or visibly harmed animals.
No goods that exchange hands can be counterfeit or stolen. The seller must always hold the right to offer the specific goods and services for sale.
Content of every advertisement is the responsibility of the advertiser. Hold Your Horses accepts no responsibility for the content of any advertisement.
Because of the technical nature of the Internet Hold Your Horses cannot guarantee the unlimited availability of the website. The service is delivered and provided as it is, and as it is available, and Hold Your Horses does not accept responsibility for loss or damages accrued which are deemed to have arisen due to a lack of website availability or equipment fault. Hold Your Horses can not guarantee a sale from your advert.
Listings
Single Listings One item could be a horse / pair of horses, a cart, complete turnout, etc, and all items are sold as a single package and for a single cost. Please note that if more than one item is included in an advertisement then either the first item only will be displayed or, alternatively, it will be rearranged into appropriate job lot advertisements.
In the instance that the item does consist of more than just a single part, e.g., mare + foal or a pair of horses, the entire advertisement will be marked as sold, if any individual aspect of the advertisement is sold or removed.
However, in the instance that the advertisement is transferred to a multiple-item advertisement, it will be online until it’s all sold. After 4 weeks of the advertisement running, you will receive email notification enquiring about your ad as to whether it has been sold.
Website addresses / URLs are unavailable as part of single-item advertisements, unless there is something like a YouTube link to a relevant published video..
Any specific logos, brands, business details, watermarks commercial or personal website addresses / URLs will be omitted from content, text and images supplied.
If 8 weeks pass from your last communication with us, you will be contacted via email to confirm that the item is still available. If we receive no response within one week of this email the advertisement will be removed automatically.
In the instance that Hold Your Horses have not received a contact email address with the advertisement, it may be removed 6 weeks after the last official contact.
All advertisements will be displayed right up until the item(s) entailed is/are sold, but you will need to confirm that you wish to keep it live for longer.
Standard Listings are £4.00 until sold and will appear in the listings category’s
Featured Listings are £6.00 until sold and will appear in the listings category’s and also on the front page under featured listings on the scrolling bar.

Job lot Listings
Every advertisement that features more than one item will include items of the same type, e.g., Mares. In the instance that many different items are being advertised, then only the first item listed will be shown as a standard advertisement, unless otherwise agreed. The advertisements must be clear at all times. If the advertisement is not clear, then transferring to a standard advertisement may not apply – instead the advertisement will be transferred into the appropriate categories that the advertised items apply to.
Any specific logos, brands, business, commercial or personal website addresses / URLs will be omitted from content, text and images supplied.
The advert will be on the website until sold.
Standard Listings are £6.00 until sold and will appear in the listings category’s
Featured Listings are £8.00 until sold and will appear in the listings category’s and also on the front page under featured listings on the scrolling bar.
Business advertisements
Business advertisements can include a larger portion of text and up to 8 relevant images each. Business advertisements are flexible, and you can amend your advertisement as and when you like without accruing any additional charges.
Specific business advertisements are in the business listings section.
You will receive an email or phone call one week before the advertisement renewal is due. If we receive no response within one week of this email the advertisement will be removed automatically.
Standard Business Listings are £55.00 per annual and will appear in the Business listings category’s
Featured Listings are £100 per annum and will appear in the Business listings category’s and also on the front page under Business Featured Listings on the scrolling bar.
Trademarks and Copyright
Hold Your Horses is the owner of all trademarks, names and logos as published on the website.
Nobody may copy, replicate, download, republish or redistribute elsewhere, transmit, republish or display, tailor or adapt, alter in anyway, create derivative materials from or otherwise extract or re-utilise any of the content or trademarks of the Hold Your Horses Website without notifying the owner and gaining written permission.
Anybody can print the information available on this Website for personal, non-commercial use at any time.
